Georgi Nikolov

Georgi Nikolov is a Vienna-based conductor, artistic director, and international tour manager known for his charismatic leadership, architectural musical vision, and cross-cultural collaborations. With a career spanning Europe and Asia, he specializes in opera, symphonic repertoire, and large-scale international productions.

Currently collaborating with Varna State Opera, one of Bulgaria’s most esteemed opera houses, Nikolov is leading productions that combine orchestra, ballet, soloists, and chorus in high-caliber performances. He is also actively organizing touring projects and seeking partnerships with renowned performing arts agencies in China.

Nikolov is the founder and artistic director of the New Vis Orchestra, with which he has conducted over 100 concerts in China, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore. His touring history includes acclaimed performances with the Vienna Festival Orchestra, Parsifal with the Philharmonia Chor in Beijing, and orchestral tours with ensembles such as Simfonieta Vratza and Opera Plovdiv.

A graduate of the Prayner Konservatorium in Vienna, where he earned his diploma in orchestral and operatic conducting with distinction, Nikolov is also noted for his work in contemporary music, regularly programming works by Ligeti, Penderecki, and Bulgarian composers. He is a member of the European Conductors Association and has been featured in various media outlets across Europe and Asia.
